LOCATION CHANGED. Mother Nature and a soggy forecast may have forced us to change the location of this year’s Fall Family Festival, but she can’t stop the fun. Rain or shine, all of the fun fall activities will be happening at Cole’s Shop off of Willow Point Cutoff Road near the entrance to Willow Point.
We are happy to announce that version 2.0 of the Russell Lands mobile app now includes nearly 65 miles of paddling routes skimming past 130 miles of beautiful Lake Martin shoreline. Comprised of 17 paddling routes and six put-in/take-out points, we call the network the Blueway.

We will have our working grist mill and a blacksmith in the Blacksmith Shop. So, make plans to be there! Yes, there is a charge, but it’s only $25 per family.
Two freshly completed lake homes in Willow Glynn will provide the setting for their spook-a-licous unveiling. Constructed by one of Russell Lands On Lake Martin’s most prolific builders, Bob Harris of RLH Construction, “The Abby” and the “Riverside Cottage” will be open for your personal inspection. Chef Chris Doggett of Willow Point Golf & Country Club will be creating tasty bites and refreshments. Perhaps one of these b00-tiful new lake homes will cast a spell on you, and you’ll make it your own.
Start off your Saturday with two very popular fitness classes on the Town Green. Breathe in the fresh morning air and find your center. Then, maybe indulge in the best breakfast at Lake Martin at Catherine’s Market before letting Naturalist Marianne Hudson “school” us on how critters are classified. You’ll be home in time for college football!
The forecast is calling for a beautiful evening at Russell Crossroads this Friday. What better way to unwind after a busy week than to take in a wildlife presentation with Naturalist Marianne Hudson and kick back in the cool grass of the Town Green with Jonathan Bloom? Come relax and enjoy!
The fifth annual Holiday Bazaar art market will be held November 24 at Russell Crossroads. This event on the Town Green features local artisans from Lake Martin and the surrounding area exhibiting original works in jewelry, reclaimed wood décor, paintings, photography, candles, soaps, and much more. Holding the this year’s Holiday Bazaar on the Town Green will concentrate all of the festivities in one location for maximum traffic.
Lake expected to stay at full pool into October. School has started, Labor Day has passed, and, for many, attention has shifted to football schedules. If you haven’t heard, this year, Lake Martin is likely to stay at full pool until October 15. For us lake lovers, this means some of the best times of the year.
