Published: 08.24.2015

The last big weekend of summer is fast approaching, and you know what that means. Grab your friends, the kids, blanket, and the cooler, and join us for a true summer tradition: the Labor Day Weekend Concert at The AMP!

Headlining this year is Railroad Earth, who bill themselves as an acoustic rock band. With five critically acclaimed studio albums and one hugely popular live one, Elko, these talented musicians have incredibly loyal fans following them all over the country.

Take a listen to their 2013 Pandora Whiteboard Session:

Joining Railroad Earth are The Lonely Biscuits and Alabama’s own The Vegabonds. Two of The Lonely Biscuits’ EPs reached the top of the Billboards Heatseeker’s Charts, and they play college shows across the country to a loyal and growing fan base. During their sophomore year, the band won the 2013 MTV Woodie Award for College Band of the Year and played the Woodies at SXSW. Take a listen

With a swagger reminiscent of the Black Crowes and musicianship that draws comparisons to the Allman Brothers, Nashville-based, The Vegabonds are one of the hardest working rootsy rock bands in the Southeast. Give a listen to their hit “Sink or Swim:”
