County approves cabin addition

Russell Cabins at The Ridge continues growth

On August 14, the Elmore County Commission approved Russell Lands’ development plans to expand the Russell Cabin section in The Ridge. This planned expansion will be on the third, and last, peninsula between The Ridge main entrance and The Ridge guardhouse.

This new phase adds 18 new waterfront homesites to this already very popular and successful section of The Ridge. This peninsula is accessed via Thompson Road (subject to a name change) and has long provided sites for a collection of humble Russell rental cabins. The amount of land is larger than each of the first two phases allowing us to create some very special lakeside properties. The average lot size will be 1.94 acres of land with 280 feet of waterfront footage.

Over the four years of our development of the “cabin” sector, we have been able to create and build a wide variety of new home designs by some very talented architects and designers. A recent design by Jonathan Torode was recognized by Country Living magazine as Lake House of the Year.

The County’s approval allows us to begin road construction in September with a completion date sometime after the first of the year.
