Naturalist – Auburn Eagles Visit Russell Crossroads

May 27, 2017 | 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Saturday, May 27, 12pm AND 1pm

Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend by learning about our national symbol! Two of Auburn University’s popular eagles will visit the Naturalist’s Cabin at both 12:00pm and 1:00pm on Saturday, May 27. Choose either presentation time for the perfect opportunity to view both the Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle up close and learn about the fascinating natural history of these two species. We will discuss the populations of these birds in Alabama, including the dramatic recovery of the Bald Eagle and the recent research on Alabama’s Golden Eagles. The amazing power, speed and strength of these birds will be highlighted, and we will also discuss how they are trained for their stadium flights. This is an excellent photo opportunity! WAR EAGLE!

No charge – everyone is welcome!
