Wildlife Presentation – Naturalist Cabin

November 11, 2017 | 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Meet the one critter that’s on everyone’s Thanksgiving guest list. A LIVE TURKEY of the domestic variety will be at the Naturalist’s Cabin for some serious turkey talk. In addition to the bird of honor, an assortment of items left behind by the Eastern Wild Turkey will be available for handling and instruction. Turkeys have interesting features including caruncles, a snood, spurs and a beard! Listen to turkey calls and practice your own. Take a selfie with a friendly live turkey! The whole family will enjoy watching the star of Thanksgiving strut its stuff. Appropriate for all ages. No charge – everyone is welcome!
