Fitness classes continue through September

What started out as an experiment with free yoga classes on the Town Green a few years ago has grown in popularity and has expanded with Pilates classes. These popular activities have been extended through September. Come out and enjoy the fall weather!

Yoga on the Green

Saturday mornings at 7am

Strength, flexibility and inner peace. Who couldn’t use a little more of that? Just bring your yoga mat and water bottle.

 


Pilates with Jan Hare

Saturday, September 9, 16 & 23, 8:30am

Pilates is a total-body conditioning exercise method combining flexibility and strength, focusing on the powerhouse (core, lower back and buttocks) and lengthening the spine.

Jan Hare has been a certified group fitness trainer and Pilates instructor for over 20 years.  For many years, she was employed by the University of Florida where she was actively involved in aerobic training for several of the men’s and women’s sports.  She has worked with the CACC baseball team’s strength and conditioning program, and currently teaches various fitness classes at Russell Medical Total Fitness, with Pilates being one of her favorite classes.
