Let’s talk turkey!

Meet the one critter that’s on everyone’s Thanksgiving guest list. Live turkeys, of the domestic variety, will be at the Naturalist’s Cabin for some serious turkey talk. In addition to the birds of honor, an assortment of items left behind by the Eastern Wild Turkey will be available for handling and instruction.

Friday, November 25, 10 am–2 pm during Christmas at Crossroads

Turkeys have interesting features including caruncles, a snood, spurs and a beard! Listen to turkey calls and practice your own. Bring a camera and take your child’s Thanksgiving portrait with a full-sized turkey mount or a friendly live turkey! The whole family will enjoy watching the star of Thanksgiving strut its stuff. Appropriate for all ages. No charge – everyone is welcome!
