The Russell Lands Fall Family Festival will be here before we know it, and it promises to be bigger and better this year! As always, the event’s focus is on the kids! With that in mind, we will open up the Pumpkin Patch, and have pumpkin carving and decorating, and, of course, arts and crafts. This year, we are adding a few new things!

The scavenger hunt is becoming Fall Festival BINGO, which will be a lot of fun with a BINGO prize at the end, and we’ll have a lot more, plus food and drinks for the entire family.

Make sure you bring the entire family down to Russell Crossroads for a morning filled with FUN! The Fall Family Festival is also a learning experience. We will have our working grist mill and a blacksmith demonstration. So, make plans to be there! Yes, there is a charge, but it’s only $25 per family.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Fall Festival Baking and Canning Contest. Pull out your favorite recipe for pie, cheesecake, cake or whatever you bake and/or your favorite jelly, preserve or pickled item. We do award prize ribbons, but there are gift cards up for grabs, too!

We hope you mark it on your calendar to hang out with the family at the Fall Family Festival on October 28. For more info call Robert at 256.397.1019.

It’s a lot of fun! Here are some highlights from the 2016 Fall Family Festival.
