Kids of ALL ages find something fun to do at The Fall Family Festival at Russell Crossroads!
All of nature is equally amazing and valuable, but the truth is: some critters give us the creeps. This month, October 14th, 21st, and 28th, stop by the Naturalist’s Cabin to see some specimens that are apt to cause a chill. Some will have eight legs and some will have none, but all will be […]
Make sure you bring the entire family down to Russell Crossroads for a morning filled with FUN! The Fall Family Festival is also a learning experience. We will have our working grist mill and a blacksmith in the Blacksmith Shop. So, make plans to be there! Yes, there is a charge, but it’s only $25 per family.
Just as the lake level rises and falls with the seasons, the forests take on their fiery fall cloak and the sunsets sneak in a little earlier, so must the businesses at Russell Lands On Lake Martin adjust their hours for the not-so-busy season. But rest assured, our doors are open, and we’re here to greet you warmly!
The Russell Lands Fall Family Festival will be here before we know it, and it promises to be bigger and better this year! As always, the event’s focus is on the kids! With that in mind, we will open up the Pumpkin Patch, and have pumpkin carving and decorating, a real firetruck for the kids to climb in and on, horseback rides and, of course, arts and crafts. This year, we are adding a few new things!
Come hang with Naturalist Marianne Saturday, September 16th as her critters get their CLASS on! Presentations are always fun and you just might learn something.

Representatives from the bird, mammal, reptile, amphibian and insect groups will be at the Cabin to displaying their separate classes. Stop by the […]
Start off your Saturday with two very popular fitness classes on the Town Green. Breathe in the fresh morning air and find your center. Then, maybe indulge in the best breakfast at Lake Martin at Catherine’s Market before letting Naturalist Marianne Hudson “school” us on how critters are classified. You’ll be home in time for college football!
The forecast is calling for a beautiful evening at Russell Crossroads this Friday. What better way to unwind after a busy week than to take in a wildlife presentation with Naturalist Marianne Hudson and kick back in the cool grass of the Town Green with Jonathan Bloom? Come relax and enjoy!
