The summer fun continues in August and September

After the rigorous annual ritual of back-to-school shopping and school supplies, come refresh yourself at the lake. There’s still plenty of summer fun waiting for you at Russell Lands On Lake Martin! This month, we’ve got wakeboarding events, fun for foodies, new homes to tour and a great lineup for the Labor Day Weekend concert.

August aquatics and a night hike, too!
August is all about the aquatic species that call Lake Martin home. Naturalist Marianne Hudson will be featuring wet wildlife in her presentations and even guiding a night hike this month! Don’t miss out on the fun!

3 New Homes. 2 Great Chefs. 1 Big Event
Glenn Siddle, the founder of Newcastle, made a decision to build three new homes in The Ridge. One of these homes, The Breakwater, will be fully furnished and open for inspection on August 20, 2016. There’s been a lot of interest, so we decided to celebrate with a grand debut. And what would be grander than an event including Chef Rob McDaniel of SpringHouse and Chef Chris Doggett of Willow Point Golf & Country Club? Rob will be preparing lake food over a wood fire, and Chris will be showing off the gourmet kitchen.

Montgomery Burger Bash
The MGM Burger Bash is in its second year in Montgomery. Chefs from local restaurants will throw down, to determine who really has the best burger in the city—and you, the people of Montgomery, will decide. Kowaliga’s Chef Ban Stewart is competing this year. Proceeds benefit E.A.T. South Downtown Farm in Montgomery.
