Friday On The Green – Russell Craig
September 25 | 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Tonight on the Green Stage we welcome back – Russell Craig! Russell was with us in June and agreed to come back and finish off the regular season of Friday On The Green.
Russell’s music can be described as Americana with a country twist. He will play our favorite cover songs and some of his originals!
In addition to his music, Russell has a passion for helping others. He was born with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a progressive disease that eventually causes total blindness. Russell says while, “growing up, I believe I focused too much on trying to blend in with my peers rather than trying to adapt to my disability. Instead of thriving, I was surviving in terms of my abilities. My goal in life is to help people with disabilities realize their worth and reach their true potential.” Russell recently received his bachelor’s in rehabilitation and disability studies from Auburn University and has been accepted into the VRT masters program at Western Michigan University where he will be pursuing a dual master’s degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and Orientation and Mobility.
Grab your comfy gear and the leash for your pet, and meet on the Town Green at Russell Crossroads! We do ask that you social distance, so look for the circles! See you Friday, On The Green.
