Published: 05.22.2013

On Sunday, May 26th, we invite you to bring the whole family down to the Lake Martin Amphitheater for the Southern Music Festival, a FREE show kicking off our summer concert series. Grab your blankets and picnic baskets and get ready to listen to the high-energy honky-tonk sounds of Confederate Railroad and special guests David Ball and Rexton Lee!

Doors open at 5:00 and the show starts at 6:30. The weather is supposed to be clear and warm, and we can’t think of a better way to spend Memorial Day Weekend. We guarantee it’s going to be a great time, and look forward to rocking out with you at the Lake!

Confederate Railroad’s high-energy combination of honky-tonk country sounds, sensitive ballads, and offbeat humor has led them to chart success, multi-platinum sales, and continued popularity around the country throughout their 20+ years as a band. In the words of founder/frontman Danny Shirley:

“There’s nothing profound about this, we’ve been playing music in one form or another for 20 years, and we still enjoy it…we do material we like. We do what we want the way we want, regardless of the consequences.”
