The Fun Never Ends

Summer water levels will extend into fall
Great news! One of our favorite times on Lake Martin will be even better in 2020. We love the lake in September, October, and November. What’s not to like? Pretty fall foliage, warm water, cooler temps, and college football on the big screen on the covered porch!
The only negative about the fall is that the draw down of lake levels for the winter season begins right after Labor Day—usually. Not this year. Due to the wetter-than-normal summer season, Alabama Power Company was able to extend the summer pool level until October 15, 2020, assuming the tributaries that supply water to the lake maintain sufficient flow.
That means fall foliage, warm water, cooler temps, college football on the big screen on the covered porch, and a full lake!
If you have never experienced Lake Martin in the fall, this is your chance. Be careful though—you might forget all about how pretty it is here in April.
