People that grew up around the lake in the 1950s and 1960s remember the cabin hidden in the woods accessed only by a narrow dirt road. The last mile or so to the lake was an adventure with cute names on signs marking the path for family and friends. Those days are not gone. In fact, they have been reborn in Nichols Cove. Like its sister neighborhood, Rose Point, the roads are dirt, the lots are large and private, the cabins are rustic, but the infrastructure and features are 21st century. Nothing could be better for rustic lake life.
