New Beginning in The Ridge

Ridge Approved Builder commences new project

Lake Martin’s largest waterfront neighborhood is growing again. Last year was a surprisingly strong market for lake property, and The Ridge was no exception with nearly 60 waterfront transactions. By year’s end, inventory for single-family homes was nearly exhausted. For that reason, we reached out to our Approved Builders to create fresh supply.

Lake Martin Signature Construction, LLC responded to that call and broke ground in December 2020 on a brand-new lake home design in the Ridge Run enclave of The Ridge. This new design is consistent with the already popular “upscale farmhouse” style created for Ridge Run and reminiscent of the building designs at Russell Crossroads.

Ridge Run, located on the east side of The Ridge, was developed to provide waterfront homesites specifically for this architectural style. Initial designs were created by the same design team who designed Russell Crossroads, and they set a new standard for lake homes. We have a wonderful collection of beautiful designs for Ridge Run that are suited for the lake in both size and features.

Russell Lands’ residential building company, Classic Homes, built the first five homes in Ridge Run to set that standard. A key subcontractor group led by Steve Fuller, who is part of the Lake Martin Signature Construction team, performed framing and trim carpentry for Classic Homes. Steve’s team loved building these homes and asked to be the preferred builder to build out this enclave.

Since Steve’s team was involved so intimately and had the capacity to finish Ridge Run, Russell Lands accepted their request to build a model home and to work with those interested in custom projects in this beautiful enclave.

Ridge Run, as noted above, is located on the eastern side of The Ridge. The lots enjoy a variety of views, and some have year-round water. The model home under construction, the Crestview, has four bedroom suites, two family rooms, and two outdoor living spaces on two levels. Construction is slated for completion by July 1, 2021 with a retail price of $1,395,000.

There are only 10 homesites in this year’s release. Given last year’s unsatisfied demand and very attractive rates, these homes will not last long.
